I've been hurt, but I can stand. I've been lost, but I was found after wandering through the darkness 'til I finally came around. I've been scared, but I was held by a strong, but gentle arm that softly held me safely 'til i finally found me ground. I will stand through the fire and the pain. You can't rain on my parade, 'cause I dance in the rain. Dance with me, dance with me! Let's light up this pale effigy and strip away the shades of gray and end the day with you holding me. One, two, step and one, two, three and we'll become a prodigy of laughing through the shame, of loving through the pain, by dancing in the rain. Nothing is more painful than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him. (Unknown) [This message has been edited by UNTAMEDelegance (04-02-2010 12:15 PM).] |

I've been hurt, but I can stand This is not the case with people with broken hips - its painful to stand. I have a friend who has a broken hip. |

True, but can they stand in spirit? And this poem is more about myself overcoming pain my own pain and finding the will to stand. ~UNTAMEDelegance (But others can take their inspiration from if, too!) Nothing is more painful than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him. (Unknown) |

Great message, dear Melissa. Life is a kind of dance and if we don't stop dancing even when we are in pain, we overcome the challenges much better. Well rendered reflections. Love, M |
