The baby sky
Wore pink and blue-
A layette of clouds that grew
From a chip of opaque white
That traveled through a wispy sight
Of black-filled gauze
That brushed the face
Of Godly realms
That finger-traced
A night at rest, as was wise,
When daylight opened infant eyes.
