It has been a year of ups and downs
For folks in country, folks in towns.
Some have lost and some have gained,
Some have rejoiced, some have been pained.

As the year of 09 rolls around
We have a chance for a rebound.
May the New Year bring an end to war
And peace and prosperity restore.

May you have a lot more friends than foes,
Unlimited happiness and few woes.
May you walk in faith without a fear.
My heartfelt wish "A Happy New Year".
