After thought he wakes up in the morning consumed with thoughts of the coming day what to wear what to eat should he drive or carpool do the dogs need food have the cats had shots have to remember to get the wife a present it's almost their anniversary after all and I should really stop by to see the daughter and her new family a small smile crosses his face what a lovely family the Lord has blessed me with he goes through the day decissions to be made friends to see laughter to share and memories to be made thanks to be givin for all the gifts that were givin at the holidays notes to write decorations to pack away cleaning to be done small things really nothing too hard life is good and he is blessed and just before he goes to bed a weak thought drifts accross his mind did he forget something? a present not sent? a card not mailed? he shrugs as he gets ready for bed if it were important he will remember and a thousand miles away a daughter sheds yet another tear for another Christmas and another birthday have come and gone and he never thought... of her. Dear Dana, you might want to share this touching poem with him (if this is about you)... he should know how much you miss his signs of love. Very sad, very well written. Love, Margherita ![]() |

and then...from a different perspective...the thought of the "distant daughter" could be very close and personal to him...just because he shows no outward signs, it doesn't mean the thoughts are not there...sometimes we experience pains and outward expressions are supperssed as the individual works through the pain. |
