Hennie Hen Do you know my feathered friend, the one I call Hennie Hen? She has coal-black feathers and feet to match! Was one of six, from the eggs that hatched! The others are gone! Yet, she still remains, my feathered friend, with the Hennie Hen name. |

Even though she is a super chick You need to arm yourself with stick To ward off foes from hawk to men Who would seek to harm your Henny Hen. (I speak from experience.) Joyce |

r v woo: I enjoyed your poem. It takes me back to being young and tending the chickens on my uncle's farm. I had one that was my favorite and I always looked forward to seeing her. She seemed to really like me too and I thought her eggs were better than the others. I don't know why, but I called her Dora. Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |
