"IF"

If I had a dog
he'd be very frisky.

He'd have no interest
in the taste of whisky.

He'd be brave enough
to chase a Grizzly bear.

Or jump up and snuggle me
in a big old rocking chair.

He'd have a long wooly coat
and a short stubby tail.

And his nose would tell him
if there's trouble on the trail.

this poem is a tribute to Airedale Terriers.
moon.
