I am an optimistic fruit fly I'm that way everywhere I go Someday I'll go to Heaven to see Jesus and the friends I know. Yes I am an optimistic fruit fly I eat the fruit that's grown old I have a lot of wisdom Is something I have been told. I am an optimistic fruit fly The best fruit to eat I know Is the fruit they speak of in the bible The fruits of the spirit I know Which are; Meekness, Love and Kindness Joy, peace and patients you see also goodness, faithfulness and self control will get us in the pearly gates someday. Now the only way we can do this is to stop and continually pray. Yes I am an optimistic fruit fly I'm that way everywhere I go and if you want to go to heaven with me just bow down before God like me. I dedicate this song to songbird who is such a special friend in christ for me that I am happy enough to write lyrics and sometimes a melody. |

Dear Marge,PhaerieChild,and Joyce. I thoroughly and anyone else who posts; I thoroughly enjoyed your comments and the funny thing about this poem is I was in the Hospital at the time of its creation. It came to me out of the blue and I had everyone in there rolling with laughter. See I just finished it last night and if I can bring a smile to someones heart I will especially if God inspires me. jody5, you are not the common fruit fly. the lyrics and melody of your poem are refreshing. there is much positivism in your optimism and goodness. the goal of everlasting life is a noble challenge! you are fortunate to have songbird as a special friend. i know you are both angels for i have seen your wings! |

You guys are so wonderfully funny and it it all of you with a taste of humor that I wrote this song for. but I dedicated it to Britney Spears to teach her children the fruits of the spirit and smile about it as they learned it. She is my friend and I pray for her soul and I believe if the rest of you agree with me in prayer she will overcome her current situation and come back to the Lord! Hugs Kimberly |
