Mystery and silence waits at dusk. Soon its shadows will tuck me in, and a silver moon, curved and hooked, will come to rock and let me cry. Beyond the edge of seas, tides flow unhurried, carry my wish with each swell and rise, hum a lullaby under a moon more like a sun. Yet I awake to find life’s precious wishes nestled in some dust clouds, unreachable. Sun catches and holds my face to the water, reflecting desperation turned into agony. |
