I Like All My Love

Rally to this other
existence that has all the
blood types of heads and livers
standing on their toes
wanting more and less
like a woman in the smacky sack with
a sensitive, effeminate male.

Where are the plates?
Couldn’t even give a damn, but
guerillas on swing sets
enjoying basking, wasting
and general paste-eating
in the sun are my friends
and they love me.

Maybe then just try to
like your killer
when he or she may
be upon your behind
waiting for the yelp
to emit out your mouth
sounding the fury of
hardy killing
and excessive time wasting
in this world of unknowing;
ignorant of everything groovy.

If hair grew out
me eyeballs; I want stroking damn it.
Eat it like black pasta
and get some snagged in your teeth.
Look me straight in the head
like a deformity
call me something I'm not,
John Merrick.

And I said to the devil, "You better leave my spleen alone."

Okay, it is over my head - but I still like reading your work.  I am not always clear what the hell you are talking about - but I still like it.  What I think brings me back to your poems is how the words flow and how you use them.  You create some interesting images in my head.

It all came out at about nine pages. I wrote it after being awake for 82 hours, like most of my work. After I snatched a nap, I read it and didn't even remember writing it that much. So yes, this is the edited version.

Domo arigato.

And what do you mean you want to do revisions? Just curious.

I enjoyed the visuals extensively, and I think I've grasped somewhat of a meaning but I'd rather not be too quick to jump the gun (this being my 5th post and all)... Good thought-provoking read.  Kudos.

no   i mean i aspire to meeting something the quality of the last stanza--something completely gorgeous when someone reads it in their head.  that no sleep thing really puts things into perspective.  do you do that on purpose to generate insanity, or is it a byproduct of your world?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm insane. I actually think I'm quite normal. And no I don't stay awake on purpose. My head is full of very strange thoughts to begin with so I don't think lack of sleep generates the thoughts but rather intensifies them. Call it a drug I suppose. But no, I'd love to just lay down and sleep, but that's not something I can do.

Thanks.

First off I have to say I like your poem a lot but cannot fully understand it.  I understand about no sleep intensifying your thoughts.  I have the same thing happen to me.

by insanity i mean somehow set apart from majority rule--not clinically.  insomnia sucks, and i am glad you do not smoke meth.
