Can’t you see, I don’t know you too well I think that I’ll find you though, even though I’ve never seen your face- your all but common place And yet your destiny is me Somewhere out there you’re silently waiting Like an old movie skipping in the reel You’re watching and turning your face from me Nothing plays out smooth enough for you You take my hand and your eyes catch mine And somehow time and everything else stops At least that’s how I imagine our first meeting together Do you think of me often and I often think of you Funny I know your real- but I’ve never seen your face We never talk and you don’t know who I am We’re in love and you just don’t know it yet . . . But the raw sensation of your smile in my dreams is so sweet I listen to a song about one like me trying Trying to find the one like you searching for love Searching for more than that Searching for the one that will be eternal to me I stuck my bare hand into your rip cage and fished around until I found your heart ripped it out tore it apart while saying You dont need this anymore |
