a little love poem inspired by "Good Enough" by Evanescence

I don’t deserve you
but I can’t help myself.
You’re just what I need.
My secret remedy.
My panacea.
I crave your love like an addict,
knowing it’s detrimental,
but unable to help myself.
My devotion is far too great
to simply ignore your appeal.
But who am I
to seek the eye of a god?
My imperfection could never belong
with your flawlessness.
Yet with every smile,
you give me hope.
With every wink,
I’m left to wonder.
Am I good enough
for you to love me too?
