It was a secret I would tell no one, One I had to keep to myself. I thought that it was all my fault, How could I tell someone else? I was afraid that they'd all leave me, Tell me my suspicions were true. But the one I was most terrified of, Was, for some reason, you. It did, however, come to the light, The secret I had kept. You called me on the phone that night, You didn't hear the tears I wept. You asked me why I hadn't told you, Why I hadn't made a peep. What words could I use to describe the anguish, That the thought of you leaving brought me? Now I think we're okay, Still loving, if not completely trusting. And now when I think of what I had thought, I find it all a bit disgusting. I had thought you'd tell me that I was right, I was a wh0re down to the letter. But then you showed me, and now I see, I should have known better. ~Eh, not my best, but I couldn't find better words to put it in. It's for someone who knows who he is, and he knows what it's about.~ ~*~shmily~*~ (See How Much I Love You) |
