yeah yeah I know a little late for the fairy tale topic. hehe writers block. My prince shows up, bumper to bumper of chrome, he's finally here to take me home, we got married in a chapel, alone under the vegas lights, knowing that out marriage will scarcley last a night, he flattered me with lies of castles, but we now live in a shack, and our romantic dinners are what some call a snack, what happened to the fairy tales me mama always told, they dissapeared with the wind out with the old in with the new, here's my toast to fairy tale dreams that never do come true. ~fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me~ |

aw it's sad, but you're lucky my poem wasn't even recongnized, well enough of me i thought it was a perfect example of what happenes to us everyday/ Love is never foolish- and if it is, it is a Divine Foolishness. |

I loved the mixing of the old and new in this poem. Although; I'm not sure I understand everything going on with the "fairy tale topic"? It was an enjoyable piece that with a little bit of work would be even more wonderful. I especially liked the Vegas stanza in this poem; made me laugh; I know, supposed to be sad poem but I still smiled... lol Thanks for sharing hunnie, it was nice seeing a familiar face to go with the poem "The rising morning can't insure that we shall end the day; For death stands ready at the door to snatch our lives away" |
