Hello.  This is my first writing that came to me tonight.  I hope eveyone enjoys it.

Maybe it was timing.
Maybe it was too soon.
  There are a million maybes,
    That may be the answer.

She's been my first and only one.
These experiences are new.
Our seeds have been planted close,
And with time they grew.
It started off innocent,
Awkward as could be.
But in good time we opened up,
Creating feelings of jubilee.

Maybe it was timing.
Maybe it was too soon.
  There are a million maybes,
    That may be the answer.

Hand in hand we grew closer.
Passion was created.
Your gentle lips lift my soul.
Innocence was tainted.
Our roots began to intertwine
With each single passing day.
My flower, I thought had bloomed.
What I thought, I then did say.

Maybe it was timing.
Maybe it was too soon.
  There are a million maybes,
    That may be the answer.

Then came the time when there was no pressure
No requirement or physical need.
It's at the time I said those three words
That comes from blooméd seed.
Sometimes flowers do not bloom at once
Or at least that is my plea.
Those three words were not returned.
There is no guarantee.

Maybe it was too soon.

wow really nice poem. One of the best I have read recently . (I read stuff in CA, open ,Haven ,passions in prose and here.)
