She was just your ordinary girl
with her blue wash jeans
and her hair pulled back;
just like all the other teens

You’d think she was a clone;
the same as all the rest.
if it wasn’t for the global badge
that sat upon her chest.

It sat there every single day
nursing all she thought about.
it was the key to her dreams
that kept away the doubt

The doubt that the world was ok
that it wasn’t quite yet cold
that it could still be redeemed
before our souls were sold.

She’d watch the news every night
with tears welling in her eyes
as humanity grew a little crueller
with the sound of painful cries.

and she’d pray for the return
of the hearts of a broken nation
she planned to save them one by one
and lead them to salvation.

Her plans were jerked to a halt.
and thrown against the ground.
they were beaten down into the dirt
and suffocated without a sound.

But this girl was not forgotten
and her prodigy lived on long
her plea to help the helpless
was kept alive and strong

Yes, she was an ordinary girl
unlike all the other teens
just your ordinary girl.
With extraordinary dreams.

Oh Wow!!! I really do like this poem a lot. You really do have great talent when it comes to writing. Great job and I hope to see more of your work.

I haven't read alot of ur work but HELL Will i be looking for u now... Like urself i'm an aussie girl and can i just say (no offence to the rest of you) but god us aussies kick bum with the rest of the other great poets and poetesses on here!

awww thanks for the feedback everyone, havent been able to post many poems lately coz im doing my HSC but will hopefully get some more up here soon
