I Once Knew Once I on barren ground Shivered in the cold Once I was a coward And called by many bold Once I knew life was hard Because of so much ease Once I was a monster Who always strived to please Sorrow was a constant I thing I understand The music of a funeral Played by a bright brass band Once I at my warm hearth Perceived a simple love Once I thought me desolate Choosing fire or dove Peace and love I chose All things are cleared before Can I not enjoy, joy itself Not launch this endless war For friends on barren ground Shall not reach up to me Why wish that I in ignorance Could their pain foresee? Life is hard it’s walks unsure And this despite such ease Finding true happiness And knowing who to please This is a warmth Deep within my soul A kind of happiness That's part of being whole Do I not see my happiness? Perhaps by it I’m blind My friend could use some wisdom Wisdom I might yet find OH SHUT UP SHUT UP AND GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE!!!! |

I have such heard that the wisdom of a babe is more wise than most ancients. But then again who am I to say? -Kate "Lucy: I think you are the most selfish person on the planet. George: Well that's just silly. Have you met everyone on the planet?" |
