my eyes wont stay open
the hours getting late
these seconds fly
as the days go by
at an incredibly fast rate

and what happened to the astronaut
that wanted to be one with the sky
instead im sitting at home
smoking away just to pass the time

i guess the worlds changed a bit
since i was only six
wanting the best in life
yeah, i was gonna make it big

because this rockstar
was going to make it far
and be better than the best
but as the years fade through
he was apart from the rest

i know i want so much more
when i stand here and look around
but i dont know what to do
i feel im stuck in this dead end town

and here i am at the age of seventeen
longing for the past
and wanting no more
than the years i wished away so fast

--strong words... i like reading these lines. love reading this piece. there are still a lot of things to come in life, 17 is still young don't worry, we don't know what the future holds for us all.
looking forward for another piece from you.
