Stop measuring me in meters 5×3=15 But 5ft. and 3in. do not account for 15 years. One's standards are too narrow or broad to accurately measure one's worth. Every milestone marks a marathon of growth. Every year is just an anniversary of an inch on the road of life. But the world's standard is not my own. I am pressured into conformity. The conversion is tedious and painful. And after the change, I am a fraction of myself. Although the meterstick of the world marks my flesh, Every inch of me is still my own. So stop trying to measure me in meters. The world's standard is not my own. 7/17/08 |
