Out of Reach

I see a sudden memory
Though it fills me with contempt
I just can’t quite place it
But I know what it meant

I never meant to go
This sour way with you
But now you’ve placed a world between
Our once old and new

I have a secret I’ve never told
My left hand holds it still
I try to find a better way
To ease this ache and chill

But all I find it burns me more
The words you say to all
But me you’d rather wasn’t there
A horror to behold

So instead of being like I was
Never shy of speech
I, instead, shall hold my peace
And stay safe out of reach

your poetry goes so deep its unreal. i jsut dont know how you do it. i have to say your one of my favorites to read. library for sure.
