Don't Let Them Get Me!

I can’t remember asking you for help
But I can remember the hurt that I felt
You came from nowhere,
All of a sudden I felt brave and at that instance I realised you were there

You led me forward from the darkest of light
And promised me a future, happy and bright
You’ve healed me and now I give thanks
But all the work you did is swept under the bank

You made me realise that I was real
And to ignore the hatred that I feel
How have I become so numb?
Why is the pain making me feel dumb?

I’ve fallen down onto the ground
The rain washes my body, not making a sound
Hatred begins to fill my head
As I slowly begin to wish I was dead

I feel so tired and I’ve lost my pride
The smile that once shone so bright, is dull, bleak and lost inside
I hadn’t cried for weeks until now
As the tears stream down my face as I ask god how?

Please let me be healed once more
Give me the courage that I need to answer a knock at the door
Let me wake to a world that truly exists
Let me live life the way I want and then maybe god won’t be able to resist.

Take these tears I’ve cried of hurt and fight those voices away
I clutch to all that is left of me as, my body sways a rhythmic sway
Don’t let the monsters inside my head get me, Please just let me be
Please God, don’t let them get me!

OMFG i was the person you were writing about at least it felt like it. Like it was in my skin, mind, and even the very breath i breathe. very nice

This is the only life you have, so live it to be remembered

Its so awesome to hear from pepole who love my work no matter wat.

How i love waking up and finding comments from you on my work. Its amazing how two pepole feel the exact same things...
