Demons and Monsters:

Of all the demons in the world,
The monsters and the ghouls,
There is no worse than the humans,
That abuse the boys and girls.

Whether it be your parents,
Or an adult you don't know,
There's no worse evil than bad grown-ups,
Especially if they hurt you so.

They may treat you with neglect,
Or beat you half to death,
They may sexually abuse you,
They may steal your very last breath.

And the scariest thing of all,
Is that we will all grow-up,
Let's hope we don't become them,
Because that would simply suck.

Yeah.. i know what you mean.. I'm always afraid that i'll grow up like my dad... now thats a scary sight.. Great poem though...

thanks. And yea I think and wonder all the time if I'm going to end up like my dad. Not gunn lie it kinda scares me.

Yeah I know.. It scares me too... But don't worry.. people always tell me "that your too good of a person to be like him." Someday's I believe them, and then other day's I think they're lying.. Today I beleive them cause I know I didn't make the same mistakes as him..

Just by reading your poems I can tell your way to good of a girl to be like your father...

Wonderful. This is such an Great Write.
And Hershey, you're not gunna be like him, neither are you Zach.
Why? Because you know what they did, you saw there mistakes, and if you grow up to be like them you'd wake up one morning look yourself in the mirror and NEED to change. With every fiber of your being you would NEED to change, and so you would.

Be self aware and you will never even come close.

ps i really liked it, though the last three stanzas were a tad bit off beat. but aside from that fabulous.
