Pain is a shadow of love I love you You love her Where do I belong? Surely not in your arms It was fun to borrow your chest Though it feels bad knowing I hurt someone for my happiness I knew I was right when I thought I shouldn't be smiling But I am a sucker for hug A sucker for a kiss And a sucker for love I knew I'd be hurt But I let my heart win I couldn't hate you I have no right to Your cold brown eyes It warns me of pain I didn't listen to that tiny voice Trying to guide me I suffer while you confess It's my fault, I know I made you think it's okay I made you think I am okay A little too late to be honest But I'm not I couldn't blame you For giving me the hugs that I wanted The kisses that I longed for And the love that I thought was mine Because. .. "I love you" And whenever I let those words out I end up breaking myself 'cause pain is a shadow of love |

Yay! Thanks. Few days ago that phrase, "pain is a shadow of love" just came to me. Then I thought of writing a poem 'bout it but I ended up writing something that has happened to me. lol. |
