The darkness in his eyes comes as a big surprise
I was fooled by all his smiles
Tricked by all his laughs
But now I realize there’s so much darkness in his eyes
All the tears he sheds are covered by all his fake smiles
All the hurt hidden by the laughs
But even through all this confusion
I can see that he needs someone
And that someone is me
Because I am His rock
That he holds onto when things get rough
I am the shoulder he leans on when loneliness overwhelms him
I am that warm and caring embrace that he knows will always be there
But most importantly I am the sun that fights away all the darkness in his eyes.
