You make me smile

When I see your sparkling face I cry out

At times my heart wants to float into the sky

But other times you make me sad and want to cry

But you’ve always been there when needed

You don’t have to worry about me now

You have helped me so much

I thank you for that

My heart you can actually touch

You gave me that helping pat

I just wanted to say thank you very much

You have warmed this heart to the touch.

I wrote this a long time ago so... sorry if it isn't that good.

Hey Lea,

Welcome to the world of passions poetry! For me this is quite a treat getting to be amongst, if not the first, to greet a fairly new member. I enjoyed reading your poem, there was one line in particular that stuck out to me,

"my heart you can actually touch",

I found this to be brilliant and endearing, I loved this line.

Thank you for sharing your poetry with all of us here, I am looking forward to seeing some of your newer writings.

Thanks stargal that poem is actually true about me. i am adopted but for a long time my heart was off limits to any and every one. so thanks for commenting it means a lot.

Me too! because at first i was kinda nervous because i wasn't sure if i was that great of a writter person. what a coinkidink that we were both adopted. well i'm 16 and a red head i guess there isn't a lot to say bout me. but i want to get to know you better to. well talk to you later.
