Anything But the Truth

When he left, it broke my heart,
But I tried to be happy for his new start.
But seeing him with her killed me,
Trying not to give in to the envy.
Around him all I can do is blubber,
So if you happen to run into each other...

If you see him, tell him I'm great.
Tell him that I've moved on, I'm past heartbreak.
Tell him I'm in love, life's runnin' smooth.
Yeah tell him anything, anything but the truth.

It would be awful if he found out
That I still love him without a doubt.
Because then he'd want to know,
If I still loved him, so...
If you see them out on some street,
And he happens to ask about me..

If you see him, tell him I'm great.
Tell him that I've moved on, I'm past heartbreak.
Tell him I'm in love, life's runnin' smooth.
Yeah tell him anything, anything but the truth.

Because the truth is I'm not over it,
And I may never get out of this pit.
And if he found out and tried to call,
I just might, take that fall...

So if you see him, tell him I'm great.

When I stopped trying find the right guy, and concentrated on being the right girl, the right guy found me.

i can totally relate!!
is this a song?
i like it alot. the flow was a bit rough at a couple parts but for the most part good!

I like this the way it flows. Its off then normal but I like this that way. Also the ryming is a bit forced

this was absolutly amazing this acually did sound like a song i was thinking the whole time reading it, this would make a very nice song but, also it was a good poem adding this to my library... i think this was my favorite by you so far, hope to read more soon...
