To the pain When nothing meant something, you were here with me Now when something means nothing, you have strayed far I can’t figure out if you are trying to play with me or not I’m not playing games, I have learned the effects of that Don’t look at me like you did when I was dancing last night How dare you wander near me when you know it makes me sick There has to be something else better that you could be doing Instead you’re making me nauseous and I can’t believe I’m writing about you I looked into the crowd and your scared eyes met my disgusted ones And my back arches and my shoulder blades nearly meet My visible reaction to the vile things I hear and see- my fierce protection I hope you’ve noticed though, that I’m something to be missed I almost feel your eyes going over every inch of me that you once held And I hope you miss me, there are very few who look like I do If my looks aren’t enough, my devotion and reliance to you should have been But you dumped me for a kiss who dumped you, all is fair in love and war Just because it’s fair- doesn’t mean it’s right, learned that the hard way huh? So did I So hold your pathetic sigh I rather hope you die But then, would people cry? I wouldn’t dare to hold your memory much longer, it decays my very mind Your eyes keep wandering over to me, again and again I see you searching I feel so strange, and the floor looms close and far from my face as I stumble I look at the wonders around me, the men here so valiant and true They have so much that you never did, and obviously never will They want to go where I want to go- you’d rather stay and digress Wonderful men and boys who faces burn like lightning in the black It’s just too bad that you are completely incompetent, and your good qualities are in lack All night I dance with these who are better than you are So why do you keep reappearing, I thought you would cower and hide I frighten and scare you beyond belief, I know this, truly I do I finally believe that it is because you never got over who I was, who I want to be But I’m better off without you, no one like you can have someone like me and if i had to choose between the whole world and you- there would be no competition |
