She cries her tears by night
Her eyes are swollen
Her cheeks are stained
From all the tears pouring
Out of this lonely girl
She’s down on her knees
Her hands to the sky
Screaming, “why don’t you understand?”
All of this time
She’s wanting and wishing
For someone to say
The three simple words
I love you
