Atlas holds the world up Or so the legend holds If that’s true then Atlas Is truly worthy of love To her who is worthy of such I address this note In the hopes she will understand The words which I have wrote Here I give my dedication But swear I not at all For I know well what I can give And white doth refuse The greyest witch is still a disguise Though darkness lurks ‘neath shining eyes I, understanding must love her And wish to dry her, my sister’s, eye Know ye not what you will gain When you open soul to soul That is I, worthy of love I, myself, my whole Now I close my letter My first, My final note In hope you will remember It t’was I to you who wrote This a simple letter of love Though love’s not simple at all Hoping you will grow and gain Hoping WE will grow and gain The wings of shining dove Sing now peaceful love No more tear my heart Final and first letter, delivered So do we part? Or do we come again? "Be Strong and Always Remember what made you you." Earl |

Good poem... love the reference to Atlas also, but my favorite verse was: "Now I close my letter My first, My final note In hope you will remember It t’was I to you who wrote" It seems to sing. I am a broken toy, |
