A Simple Phrase You think that I’m ignoring you But, the plain and true fact it, I can’t bear to see the look The one that your eyes give It’s a torture to me To see you swallowed in pain It’s a struggle to keep my eyes dry When they threaten to fall like rain Your uncanny ability To read me much too well Surprises and confuses me Much more than I can tell But your words make all better They give me air to breathe That simple phrase- I love you Means so much to me and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night |
