I need you Dove I feel just overwhelmed The numb sanity slowly draining I’m so tired of crying myself dead But the tears just file out The subtle pain that’s always there Refuses to take the door out And my fake smiles don’t fool you I can’t ever control the difference That you see in my resigned manner It’s comforting, and very, very new Thanks for taking the time To make sure that I’m still breathing It’s a relief to have you listen- but Through my guilty selfishness I feel upset when you try To find any way out Of being with me In the places where we can be seen I wish that I came first But again- I’m deathly sick with myself My own selfish desires That pull my face into Those wanton looks that I know you hate I’m sorry love, I am I don’t know what to do We haven’t finished building The bridges that connect us soul to soul There are too many things We still haven’t talked about Too many things you still don’t know I’m sorry dear, love can you hear me? I’m sorry, so sorry That I can’t say enough Sorry that we’re not what you wish I’m trying, but I’m failing I can’t do myself, what takes two Dove and in the daylight i miss the nightmare- but deathly fear it in the dark of night |

Wow, I love this poem. Especially these stanzas: I don’t know what to do We haven’t finished building The bridges that connect us soul to soul There are too many things We still haven’t talked about Too many things you still don’t know I feel just overwhelmed The numb sanity slowly draining I’m so tired of crying myself dead But the tears just file out The subtle pain that’s always there Refuses to take the door out Sheer genius, love it |
