I roam the streets in search of love,
But always seem to end up stuck.
I'm finding flaws in everyone.
I've reached the point where all I want
Is to sleep around in hopes that I'll catch up.
We are parallel lines.
We were never meant to cross.

I'm at a loss, you were my tangerine,
My cutie-face, my trampoline.
Now all I get are winching cheeks,
And heart problems, my pulse is weak.
Thinking you'd just leave me in the dark,
Instead I broke a girl's heart,
And ran back to Chicago to finish the year.

Can you hear me?
Are you listening?
This is the sound of my heart breaking.
I hope it's entertaining,
Because for me it's hell.
Was it worth it?
When you slept with him?
Did you get it all out of your system?

V is for vindication, you could never see it through.
A is for always - you'd always be here for me.
L is for leave, because you always run away.

Now I shadow my former self.
Once holy, now lonely.
A chest full of holes.
The rest of this night is so unclear.
When the big hand strikes twelve,
I disappear.

Hi NCCXC86,

I have to agree with hunnie, this poem was amazing! I think this is my favorite of yours, so far, the poem is just... stunning when you read it!

"Can you hear me?
Are you listening?
This is the sound of my heart breaking.
I hope it's entertaining,
Because for me it's hell.
Was it worth it?"

My favorite part, it's as if I've asked these questions before. I think you did a great job of creating images for the reader to picture in this poem.

Thanks for sharing
