im right outside the pearly gates
they wont open for me
im not the perfect person
and i know just how to bleed

trust me ive been there
ive been here before
i told myself id never go back
i thought id locked that door

but now its ajar
and im looking through the pane
i know what to expect beyond
but i still feel the same

should i go back through
and see what i could do
that i
didnt do before

or should i turn around
and walk away
forgetting of the door

its times llike these, you need a friend
but ones not to be found
looking and searching
only to be let down

im on my knees and begging please
right here in front of the gates
all that i really want
is to be accepted in this place

i dont know what to do and
i think you know the way
say something you did before
and then let me walk away

should i go back through
and see what i could do
that i didnt do before

or should i just
save a heartache
and forget about that door

wonderful! I never noticed it until someone pointed it out, but there are a lot of heaven poems around here...
