Depression is all I have. It’s the one and only thing I know Straight forward, no doubt in my mind, I’m so close to ending it all. And who would care? Could they give a damn? The disease I contracted when I was only seven years old Has rendered me powerless Against myself. And what then? Could they give a damn? It’s tough to understand But I feel the sun going down, Setting it’s eyes on my horizon, I feel it pinching beneath my skin. From that tender age I pulled myself away, holding To deliberate seclusion, Forgetting the moments, passing My gaze to lost memory And with the will and the mind, I'll give into my one wish for satisfaction - My certain end. And what then? I don’t give a damn. And who would care? They don’t give a damn. From that tender age of seven, I couldn’t give a damn. Goodnight.
