Brandish Hope Tracing lines on her arms They be the lines of sleep Making their way to her heart Marking her face, rubbed off in heat Trailing thin nails along her throat A guised protection of said place Her finger lingers near jaw lines Eyes see what makes feet run in haste Trapped in glass and thoughts abound Tired of confusion and feelings complex Wondering around, not knowing now She’s trapped in a witchy, ugly hex The feeling that’s trailing It just has to be fake Because, if it is really It’ll be the hardest thing to take Banishing all thought of it She said a single prayer And suddenly she knew She’d never wonder if He’s there If love were a picture that painting would never be finished. |
