The winds they come blowing Trash cans they are casually throwing I find things from where not knowing. Trees shiver as if icy cold Then bend as a strong gust takes hold Too shy to stand a wind so bold; Nature can not be tamed! Will the world heat or chill tomorrow And broil under the Sun and turn fallow Or will another Ice age now follow? It matters not as I chase my cans down Across patched grass and muddy ground As the howling wind drowns all sound; Nature can not be tamed! Gloom |

Reminds me of the time a banged up old garbage can came bouncing down the street, a blowing in the wind, and wound up marring the gleam of the blue/green finish of my Honda Prelude! Indeed, Professor, Nature can't be tamed, nor, on that day, could my ire! ![]() art |

Wonderfully expressed, dear Professor Gloom. Nature might not be tamed, but we do have certain responsibilities! The power of Nature is fascinating and humbling too. Love and warm hugs. Margherita ![]() |
