February Crawls left over leaves wrinkle in the street torn brown reminders the sun has betrayed me I use to long for sweaters this season wearily tired has cold resting in pores like every good addiction finally, I have hit my bottom the true addiction to warmth frozen in this place lost a stranger to my own life the past held crystal palaces breath taking to behold now just a constant window cling separating me from the flowers I quietly listen for echoes where snow is but a desert of white left stranded in loneliness enough I say as February crawls on aching raw knuckles cold |

Helen, as much as I am sorry that your February is so cold, I have to confess that I can't help feeling glad (sorry!) because of this beautiful poem! Owl |

"I quietly listen for echoes where snow is but a desert of white" ~ I'm getting to that point myself! I'm snowed in but apparently we are in for a bit of a respite as the temp is supposed to rise for a few days. I love the smell in the air as snow melts. You are such a lovely writer. Linda |

Really peculiar how times changes one isn't it? Yes, crystal palaces and the whole package....Thrilled me too. But I'm right there in the warmth looking out that window with you and constantly wondering about myself with reflections blended into my planning my next move. Excellent write! Eric |

Yo dear Helen, Now don’t go knocking February. February has lots of nice holidays, like Valentines Day, Presidents Day, and a whole lot of other good days. Lots of good things have happened in February. For one thing, it’s starting to warm-up a tiny bit. This is a very well written and interesting poem. I like it. Love Bobby |

Helen - February, b'rrrrrrrrr, I agree it's too darn cold. I'm heading south, to SA that is. Wonder if it's warmer there... BC |

You know I always love your Poetry, Helen. This is so good it makes me shiver, Hope it warms up soon. The weather has been very nice here until yesterday and it is now raining cats and dogs, which is fine with me. Ida |

Keep warm my dear friend, with the coming spring blossoms comes a rejuvenation of hope, and all things wondrous. Even when you write about the cold, it still finds a way to melt the heart. As beautiful as a dripping icicle Helen. |
