I am also moving. To Winona... rural. And awesome. Great write, I related strongly. Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand. |

You’ll both be lonely as hell. No Juju, it doesn't sound like a suicide poem. I can't stand being away from the city more than a few hours. Bobby |

I like the thought this implies---fantasy or real, it is a dream to be so free, as if one is not bound to time and place, not so entrenched in a notion of self that can not changed. Best wishes, art |

I miss the city. I miss the smell of stale urine on the sidwalks, I miss the filty streets and broken bottles, I miss that little dead tree that somebody planted, trying to bring a little country to their lonely life, I miss the sound of sirens going off every 7 minutes, I miss the 2 cars that were stolen right from in front of my appartment. (One of them I don't miss that much) I miss the old guy that used to sleep around the corner buy the trash bin, He got knifed and died, (I didn't know his name, I wish I did) I. . . . ya know, I really don't miss the city that much. Enjoy lifes adventures, Have fun with your move. WT. |

I left for college at 18, and moved a thousand mile away. I'm still on the move---discovery, adventure, renewal, and aging with reverence and grace. I enjoy your poetry. art |

I left for college at 18, and moved a thousand mile away. I'm still on the move---discovery, adventure, renewal, and aging with reverence and gratitude. "I wonder where my home is" This line reminds me of an old cliche---"Home is where the heart resides." I enjoy your poetry. art [This message has been edited by gilead (02-05-2009 05:41 PM).] |
