* Exhaling the worries * A friendly sun set upon her misery. She let the last rays caress her weary face, as if they were benevolent signs of hope. She wrapped herself into the all effacing wings of the night and exhaled her worries into the vastness of universe. Someone out there would listen and bring comfort, she knew this intuitively. She would greet the dawn with renewed confidence. She trusted the whispers of her soul and slept in peace, welcoming the world of dreams with its infinite possibilities. * |

Great write. I'm glad she found hope. HEY!!! I just noticed your constructive critique note: How do you say "strength" and "balance" In German? I'm three-fourths german, but the heritage dissipated when my relatives got off the boat, so to speak. -P Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand. |

Dear Margherita, Another beautiful poem about trees, along with a wonderful picture. I hope this becomes a series, "TREES, BY MARGHERITA". I look forward to your next offering. Love WT. |

Yo dear Margherita, This is very good. Hope is a strong feeling that last a long time. As an old friend from Cartagena, Colombia once told me-- "Hope is always the last thing to go." Love Bobby |

Dear friends, the inspiration behind this was a beautiful sunset over Lille/France I witnessed last week and the expression I detected in those moments on a poor woman’s face. Her poverty was visible, yet dignified. I felt with her the weight of a difficult situation, but wanted to weave in some hope. Dear viking metal, ich danke Dir von Herzen. The translation of “strength” is best rendered with “Kraft” and “balance” with “Ausgeglichenheit” (emotionally balanced), otherwise “balance” becomes “Gleichgewicht”. I have discovered a very good online dictionary and can recommend it to you: http://www.dict.cc/ Dear Marc-André, thank you so much for your kind reply, yes I wanted to obtain this soothing effect, because I had perceived the seriousness of the situation. Thank you so much, dear WT, for your kind reply and for suggesting a tree-series. Indeed I have already a few pieces written in the past years. I choose this picture here because the poem was inspired at sunset and I imagined a woman sitting under the tree (instead of the street where I had actually seen her). Dear Bobby, thank you so much, yes the main meaning I wanted to emerge here is hope, beyond the tough reality. Your friend was so right. Thank you, dear Hope, you perceived this perfectly. I enjoyed your reply greatly. Dear Diana, you brought a smile, thank you so much. I so appreciate your sensitivity, kindness and friendship. Love to all, Margherita |

"with its infinite possibilities". I would say this is "Sehr Schön" :-) Beautifully said, and well done With these words Hope has begun And the picture up on above Makes me wish I am a Dove Sitting upon that tree Seeing her hope, and tranquility! Well done The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Dear Margherita, What a glorious picture! I began to see the tree as the woman's face...and "She would greet the dawn with renewed confidence. She trusted the whispers of her soul and slept in peace, welcoming the world of dreams with its infinite possibilities." Beautiful! Not only do we get a gorgeous poem but we get the content of wisdom with it. So very lovely a read and if I were to copy my favorite lines then the whole would be copied as it all ties together so beautifully to give us the brightest of smiles. You shine just as lovely as the sunrise and sunset themselves do. |

Margherita, You have written a poem that would fit nicely in my wallet and remind me. It would remind me that I am lucky and in a good place, mentally and physically. It would remind me to exhale the worries. How I love that title and how you weave it in your poem. It would remind me of peace and a world beyond that I may not see or understand. A world that I may doubt and wonder about. You have shared a very special part of yourself and how you see the world around you. Thank you. Love, Alison |
