Valentines day will soon be arriving Second most notable gift day of the year Cards and candy exchanged by sweethearts A day for lovers so precious and dear There will be picnics galore Candlelight dinners for someone dear Celebrations of dance and delight To commemorate this day of the year Hubbub of busy shop keepers Chocolate the preferred item on the list Balloons and special floral arrangements Sent to your Valentine sealed with a kiss The lonely of the world won't celebrate Fragmented pieces of their life not restored They will make busy window shopping Never once entering the store Then comes the after Valentines special sale You'll pick candy from the shelf A lovely card displayed on your table To my Special Valentine, and sign yourself |

This was most enjoyable. I, too, liked the ending twist. Welcome to PIP. God bless, Rae |

I luuuve candy....and yes we should have our own valentine day(sss). Nice one. The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
