Everything here is old In this moonlight Thoughts I've yet to have Already fading Like a faraway Everything here is in the music Cautious Brittle Weary spirits turn to say These things we all know Anyway Piano plays We light the way With candles Sweet mist sings Forgotten things Memories turned Like a wedding ring Piano plays We make our way Sing now Waltzing through the wasteland Darkness on our dreams All it comes to take All these things we break Fall and follow at our feet Scarred and chaste This haunted place Everyone hides A tear-swept face And we dance on Forever All alone Together We dance on forever Wasted grace..... this one takes me back to the time my husband took me to see the Phantom of the Opera in London... what a vivid picture you painted for me! Thanks. ![]() ![]() |

Well glad you got something enjoyable out of it. Have to be honest though, I could not have imagined when writing it that it would be in any way connected to Theater. Humans are a vastly unique bunch, never know what you might hear next :-) |

This almost comes across as a requiem, and while it was somewhat melancholy, it certainly had a bite of reality in it. Thank you! |
