it was almost immediatley after
your laughter in that bottle of momentary
and then I said I liked it too
and so you did more on purpose

like a bad girl acting up
but innocently play pretending
I guess it goes back to your eyes
and the smile I mentioned the first time

and how I would always wonder more
about the sound of your laughter
more than about any of your other charms
but you just smiled then too

as if you already knew I was a man lying
but wishing I could believe it myself
more than you did as you read my eyes
and said I shouldn't imagine those things

unless I imagined staying there forever

Yo Dark Stranger,

I liked the title of this poem.  It's a good play on words.

Trouble is... I keep imagining things that can't be... which leads to some incoherent sighing on my part... then wailing and gnashing of teeth.   *G*

But this is beautiful work!

Sometimes, I am selfish and covet an entire poem.  How can I single one line out as beautiful?  They all touch me, so I'll carry them off to bed to wrap around my dreams tonight.

Its impossible to pick fav lines out of this one Dark, but I knew from the title I was going to love it.

Yes...I'm certain I've wondered just these same things a time or two in my life.  *smile*  And Im sure I will be wondering them again a time or two in my life.

What treasures I find today, after coming back!

There is such charm in laughter, especially in the laughter of lovers!

Sigh provoking language I would say!
