Mine to keep, I hold you softly against your gentleness Breathing the smell; of your fresh new life I have waited for you for such a long time I will protect you from all strife, Now that you're here my sweet baby My heart no longer aches I will nurture you my darling No matter how long it takes, Your face is so soft and innocent And your nature so sweet Your small delicate fingers Your dainty little feet, At last my darling you are with me You are mine for ever to keep Hush my darling little baby Just rest your head and sleep, Annie |

Beautiful tribute to that brand new person.........Don't they smell so darn nice when they're a little baby. Love the description Annie.....Anyone that's ever been a parent, man or woman, know where you're coming from with this..... Lovely lullaby! ............ Eric |
