I thirst,
and found your taste
it inspired and
we had meaning
words shared but
that wasn't an end

you warmed me
and I swallowed
the burn claimed,
rebound your taste
and, with heart in throat
reminded me
a toast was in order

embers grew,
the burn
traveling the passage,
word for word
like a shot
we melded,
both word and meaning
caught
in the rye

In rhythms to a rise the days shall follow ... each Yesterday, each Tomorrow.   -  Ct/05

the catcher kneels
and the goddess courtsies
in a poetic field of imagination and dream
