Flame

This naked flame burns hot
Dancing in the breeze,
Writhing and twisting
Melting me to my knees

The world is aglow with
My soft and gentle light,
An enticing warmth
In this endlessly dark night

Shadows flicker around us,
Past loves that since moved on
This flame it envelopes us,
This passion burning strong

My warmth I pour into you
As I melt into the night
Your arms around me tighten
The world now seems so right

Flames (internal and external) mesmerize me.  I love how they dance and flit so easily.  I love the warmth and light on the walls as they glow in the dark.

Very nice poem.  Thank you for sharing it.
