The scent of blooming roses, luscious lavender and mint, sweet white clover wafting through the air on an afternoon breeze. It brings me to my knees in grateful sighs for all the beauty Gaia gifts us. It doesn't take a genius to understand the debt we owe the waters of life, to feel the warm sepia soils that nurture all life on planet Earth. So why is it some still trash our only home? Thankfully, many have awakened to the need for basic conservation, and have chosen to treat Gaia with respect. So smell the wildflowers and roses, feel the taste of nature on your lips with every drop of pure rainfall, and cherish each gift of life as if it were your last moment. Then, and only then, will the importance of conservation be part of your every waking moment, and you shall become one with the universal source. |

ah....I've done a poor job of this, but um, I gave birth to a Nazi-style conservationist!!! (I look at my kids and think I might have actually had a reason for my life.) Sometimes I think YOU knocked me up. *laughing* TWICE. |

You truly are a child of nature, with a gift to share your understanding. I'm turning off this pc, and I'm off to the wood in the valley to stir up the scent of wild garlic, then sit and watch the red kites perform their aerobatics. Thank you, I needed to get off my backside. |

I am with you in this gratitude and deep awareness of the gifts we freely receive from Gaia. Wonderful, awakening write. Spring power erupts from Mother Earth's rich bosom gratitude is due for you. Love, Margherita |

Kacy - We need more people to think like you do but I do believe that more and more are "coming to the party" every day - if I believe it, will it be so? A timely write for me who will soon be free to ... smell the roses. Thank you. Helen |

Very well said, Kacy. I think the ultimate irony is when nature takes back what we misuse and rob from her - and then we cry out for help. It's sad to see the devastation of nature - but it's natural. Where we build and how we build is not. Alison |

I love these replies, you've each made my day so much brighter! Today was supposed to be a 'planting' day, but we've had rain since early morning so today became a house cleaning and reading day instead. Oh well, cleaning is a necessity and best done on a rainy day! xxx, Kacy PS, I did plant something this evening, a healing sage plant, to comfort Adagio, Ralph, who lost the love of his life, Leah. Very very true words that you write dear Kacy, you should send that poem in to The appropriate papers, it would make a lot of people stop and think. Love. Lindsay |

this write is most certainly a grand-fine example of when this talented poet is at her very best! ... "...smell the wildflowers and roses, feel the taste of nature on your lips with every drop of pure rainfall, and cherish each gift of life as if it were your last moment... and you shall become one with the universal source(!)" MUCH applause for this important (Gaia) 'penning' !! |
