“Primitive Children”

Legend of the Eagle-Men
Tell of stone from a drop of blood,
Stone of Fire, we call Flint,
One drop of blood from Sky to Earth.
Such oral stories are dismissed
By the “Learned” of Science.
They tattoo the name “Cult”
To what they will never know.
Sun, Moon, Fire and Earth
Speak in feathered whispers by
Sacred degrees of the twelve
Tail feathers of the Eagle.

Called by the “Educated” Mound Builders
These people listened to thunder,
Thrilled to lightning, respected
Every bird and animal, waded
Into rivers to feel it’s life-force.
Beings who let the Sun, Moon
And Earth fire their soul!
Children with the spark of Heaven’s Spirit.

And thank you Rex for your read
and comment,
have been reading up on before
the europeans came to this land,
so much is lost of the "first people" history,

I too have been blessed with
native blood, may we both be
illuminated by it's life flow,

History always tells a sad tale but I think many are now learning from the "primitive children".  Maybe the many wouldn't if not for the way they were treated in the past but that, of course, doesn't make what happened right.  Enjoyed!

We have much to learn from the traditions of native people. You do them justice with this beautiful tribute.

Yo Bloodline,

Nice work.

All families that have been in North, Central, and South America for centuries are related.
