heated my skin and smells of earth, crocheting the dandelion roots creating a blanket of weeds. And I bury my toes into the muddy ground, so soft and cool to my touch, I feel like a child again, closing my eyes to the bright day and resting my body to the sky. The smells are tasting my lost, and I am thinking too hard so I manage to stop the breathing enough to play my hair in the wind. For moments at a time I forget the tears I shed these months, and I smile like the rays so blinding I feel beautiful again in the dirty. So comfort me not, the lilacs are blooming and all I needed was that perfume. What more could I need but a name and even that..but it would seem such a shame to let this day go to waste. |

quote: A new awareness of the power to create your wellbeing is tangible here, dear Kaoru. Wonderfully profound poetic expressions. Love, Margherita ![]() |

Oh how I missed your words. I can "feel" this one as I am the same but with my Wisteria. It makes the day worth so much more. Squeeze that Freja for me. Carpe' Diem, |

*thinks about moseying around your area until he sees you epic-ly standing on a hill with lilacs and cool mud in the wind with green grass etc* Freaking wonderful write. I am impressed with the vividness. Don't waste the day. It's beautiful out. -P Everyone deserves to be loved, even you. |

Meghan, This is perfection and my perfect day. I love this poem you share with us. I was out in the sun yesterday. My toes were dug into the warm silt as I sat on the river bank and read/snoozed in the sun. The chokecherries are just beginning to blossom and the aroma is strong. Thank you for setting aside the sad times to write this. Alison PS - I noticed last night that we share the same birthday. |
