Tomato Rosy glow, cliché upon the tart tongue Fleshy freckled in the blush of summer sun Or tossed, in random vinaigrette, at summer set The rules apply, and sway beneath a soft blue sky Plumped of tongue and cheek, to saunter by Or spilled, upon the skin as red wine chilled A shiver burns the blood, made saucy at a boil Seemed simple Simon says, turned olive for the oil Or gams that curve beyond the skirt, a little flirted folly Never Pollyanna prim, would they remark or volley An even earthy shine seems more her truer vine Or a beauty that is timeless, wrapping vine-less ‘round his mind Copyright Kkh 5/21/09 |

TD, methinks ye be a bit of a rosy tomato, thyself! Adorable! ~ and sweetly saucy! EA |

Oh I did love this one, the tomato is multi-functional for sure, why they say you can even mash them up and they make an excellent face mask (haven't tried it though..:-) A truly well written and eloquent poem. Heart2Heart |

Kkh, I am not a tomato fan, but you almost made me more inclined to be one. I enjoyed this. A |
