In dreams enshrined

Sometimes when the midnight star
Twinkles brightly from afar
And gentle moonlight's silvery balm
Soothes me like a soft sung psalm
Still in the nighttime hush I hear
Beloved voices crystal clear
Laughing, talking yet I know
They're echoes from so long ago
And often just at early dawn
When the dew drops lace the lawn
And sunlight steals across the sky
I lie and think of days gone by
For in the silence so it seems
Those voices break into my dreams
Down the passageway of years
Invoking thoughts too deep for tears
The voices call; I hope that they
Will never, ever, fade away
For then I dread what I might find
If dreams were not in memory enshrined
Yet if those voices should depart
Their smiles will still be in my heart......

Yes, this is very beautifully expressed awareness of love. I think so many can relate, dear Heart2Heart.

Love,
Margherita
