Aerodynamically designed and leaning near the bar I'm drawn buy your finesse and patience ~ One step closer standing just out of reach my murky heart grows darker and in only moments I catch your eye ~ Your brow lifts to hinder a bead of sweat and the corner of your lip curls in anticipation ~ Just before reaching out with your firm but gentle touch my heart fills with a bubbling effervescence ~ My head lightens ~ I'm black ~ I'm beautiful ~ I'm Guinness ~~~ [This message has been edited by Rex Allen McCoy (05-20-2009 09:20 PM).] |

Hey, I love glasses of the 'Black Stuff'. I read this earlier today, and had to hit The Earl Of Derby, as my poetic juices were aroused. You do her proud, and Guinness now owe you advertising fees. Pour until the glass is two thirds full. Wait for one minute(at least). Pour till full, leaving a 10cm head, flourished with a shamrock. Then, wait till the head and the nectar are divided by a scalpel-sharp line, and drink.(always order the next drink a few minutes early) I guess that is preaching to the converted? |

Zaineb ... it helps to be Irish or at least addicted to Guinness A bartender told me that he could tell a persons nationality by the number of rings in an empty glass of Guiness (each time you take a drink then leave it sit a while, another ring forms in the glass) An Irishman leaves about 5 or 6 rings. An Englishman leaves about 10 rings. An American leaves about 25 to 30 rings. an Austrailian dosen't leave any. |

Mmmm, guiness! I like the ring story, too. Although I can say, that as a woman of Irish decent, I can't leave more than 5 rings on my glass. lol |
